What is K-Map?
Hi Guys
Today we are learning about K-map.K-map is very important in Boolean algebra .
so lets start and learn about K-map.
What is K-Map?
K-map is nothing but a rectangle made up of certain no.of square i.e. cells. Each represent one combination of variable either as it is are complimented. Each square are correspond to mean or max term. The number of square variable with the number of variable in boolean expression.
For an N variable K-map consist of 2 multiply N times cells i.e. Boolean expression of two variable the number of square equal to 2*2=4.
Boolean expression of three variable the number of square 2*2*2=8
Boolean variable of 4 variable the number of square 2*2*2*2=16
In K-map contentious square differ in the value of exactly one variable which may change from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0 also the square on opposite edges are consider contentious and the four corner square are consider contentious.
